O protagonismo das mulheres na política tunisiana: o feminismo de estado na Tunísia junto às mulheres no contexto da Revolução de Jasmim (2010-2011)

Abstract

In view of the sequence of uprisings that swept the Middle East and North Africa, known as the Arab Spring, the Jasmine Revolution became the wave of protests that took place in Tunisia in 2010. Women organize and/or lead the movements of protest that eventually resulted in the overthrow of Tunisian dictator Ben Ali. Thus, as the Jasmine Revolution is a contemporary event, social networks were allies in organizing protests, disseminating demands and the results of the Tunisian Arab Spring. During the analysis outlined by the research, it was possible to verify that when approaching Tunisian politics, it becomes necessary to revisit the country's historical movements, as well as the moments that preceded the revolution itself. In addition, the main purpose of this work is to contribute to the field of contemporary international relations, interconnecting a multi-referential analysis of authors and biases to establish a complete study on the growing Islamic feminist movement, a theoretical framework still little explored by IRs and the consequences of the Revolution of Jasmine.
