A construção do atlas virtual histológico e seu benefício ao discente de enfermagem: relato de experiência

Abstract

There is a need to know the real capacity that digital technologies favor education, in order to be able to take advantage of its full potential. The digital technologies aimed at education contribute to the student the possibility of conducting research, collective discussion, collaborative production, created in partnership between members, as it occurs through interaction and the creation of new perspectives. In this context, the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) being used in the teaching and learning process in the Histoligia curriculum component, provide users with numerous advantages. The curricular component of Histology aims to identify the cellular and tissue structure and its correlation between this structure and functional activity. In the current context, in the face of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the correlation of these cellular and tissue structures is also important for understanding the pathophysiology of the disease. The pandemic itself also impacted teaching relations, given that, in view of the social distance measures, necessary to contain contagions, several educational institutions around the world were forced to interrupt their face-to-face actions, which, in histology, directly affected the use of the laboratory for practical classes with direct use of optical microscopes by students. This experience report aims to reflect the importance of building a website and the use of this didactic material for teaching within the academic practices of the undergraduate nursing course. This is a descriptive study, an experience report. The experience was lived by a graduate student in Nursing, during the year 2016 when he exercised monitoring activity in the curricular component of Human Histology I and II, and who realized the need to build a didactic website related to the curricular component to be used in practical classes. The experiment was developed at a federal university on the western border of Rio Grande do Sul. For the construction of the site, histological slides from the own collection of the Histology Laboratory of the said university were used, from which images were collected, through the optical microscope (LEICA ICC50 HD), a free and online platform was also used, which allows to create HTML5 and Mobile sites, called WIX (available at https://pt.wix.com), whose domain is free. The student together with the professor and other authors of the article, thought about structuring the website in a dynamic way and that would be attractive for the student to use it. In this way, a colorful, attractive, easy-to- access designer was used, thus enabling the student to access the website from any mobile device

with internet access (cell phone, tablet, smart phone and etc.). The construction of the website made it possible for the student to become familiar with the construction of digital tools that were used by the faculty and students of the undergraduate nursing course during the year 2020, since the practical classes were suspended to avoid agglomerations and / or were subjected to asynchronous activities. In this way, the atlas was used as an important tool in obtaining this practical knowledge of the cells, tissues and organs covered in Histology. Enabling the use of the atlas in remote practical classes of the curricular component (during the emergency period of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic), enabling the interaction of the teacher with the students in the explanation of collective doubts during the practical classes. The pedagogical knowledge of ICTs benefits universities, teachers and especially students. The use of online tools in teaching, promote the promotion of interaction between teacher and students, benefiting the student's learning through participatory postures, being authors of their own knowledge, ceasing to be passive to knowledge while obtaining knowledge.
