Orientações realizadas por Enfermeiros para promover o aleitamento materno: uma revisão integrativa

Abstract

Breastmilk (LM) is the most complete food for the Newborn (RN) containing vitamins, minerals, fat, sugars, proteins, all appropriate for the newborn's body. The aim of this study was to highlight the importance of the professional nurse in the guidelines carried out to promote breastfeeding. An integrative literature review (IR) was carried out, a method that allows the synthesis of knowledge produced on a topic. The selection of articles included free articles published in Portuguese in the last five years. After reading the 8 selected articles, studies were categorized using a table containing the title of the article, name of the author (s), year of publication, objectives and level of evidence. The guidelines of the Ministry of Health (MS), World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) are that the child must maintain exclusive exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) until the sixth month of life, and breastfeeding Materno (AM) complemented until the age of two, an indication that has been supported by several initiatives over the years. It is possible to state that nurses encourage pregnant women and women who have recently given birth to promote breastfeeding, and this alone is not effective to have an increase in national and global rates, because in addition to the professional's incentive, it is also necessary to encourage the family nucleus in which this nursing mother is inserted.
