Diversidade e distribuição sazonal da avifauna da unipampa campus Uruguaiana

Abstract

The environment and the environmental balance are reasons great concern in the world scenery for, that is linked the recovery and maintenance of the fauna and flora. The group of the birds is one of the most important due to their abilities and adaptations, therefore this very significant animals for the maintenance of the ecological balance. The study about the life diversity, besides promoting the increase of the knowledge on the distribution and the communities' specific composition in a certain ecosystem, is of fundamental importance, because it supplies a panorama situacional of the composition faunística, this way contributing to the taking of decisions in relation to the environmental preservation. In that sense we can highlight the municipal district of Uruguaiana, more specifically the Federal University of the Pampa campus Uruguaiana, where in his/her extension studies inexist on the composition of the avifauna. For that reason, that research had as objective registers fotograficamente and to investigate the present avifauna in the Campus Uruguaiana. The applied methodology was through a qualitative investigation of the avifauna of the campus. For this a seasonal survey was made in the period of August from 2015 to May of 2016, during this period 65 species belonging to 35 families were observed. As results looked for to contribute for the specific knowledge about the existent diversity of birds in the area of the University, since along this project countless birds were observed, among them the arapaçu platino (Drymornis bridgessi) that this threatened of extinction, returned the promotion of the environmental education, once the area is characterized as of great environmental importance, being part of Bioma Pampa and located in a border area, and may suffer influence of other ecorregiões.
