A união de nações sul-americanas sob o prisma anarquista

Abstract

Historically it is noted that South America has maintained a reactive posture when faced with international challenges. When compared to a number of previous initiatives, while maintaining the reactive character of these, the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) changes the mercantilist feature of the South American integration process to present itself as a space for regional political cooperation aimed at overcoming the reactive nature of regional foreign relations. The discipline of Intercionais relations - particularly regarding its subfield of Theories of International Relations, in turn, suffers from the internal difficulty to recycle itself and from the criticism of academics more attentive to the advances in others areas of knowledge. Accused of tending to reification of the status quo, given its reluctance to revise their bases and end its isolation from others areas of knowledge, this study aimed to promote dialogue between the statist discipline with the anarchist political philosophy, in order to contribute to overcome the internal difficulties mentioned above. In addition, through this dialogue, we tried to overcome the localist character of anarchist studies who, ironically, ignore the discipline that is often distinguished from others precisely for studying to anarchical relations. The proposed reference to the above inter-paradigmatic debate is the UNASUR, regarding the systemic role of this institution, its relevance to the regional relations and its influence to promote or not the anarchist federalist project in its Member State
