O feminino através de “Miss Algrave” de Clarice Lispector

Abstract

The present work aims to discuss the construction of the feminine in the short story "Miss Algrave" by Clarice Lispector, conducting a brief historical survey about the feminine and the role of literature as a possible space for the breaking of paradigms and prejudices. First, we analyze the role of women in history, highlighting the prejudices suffered and contemplating women's achievements over the years. Therefore, the woman stands out in literature, considering the works of Simone de Beauvoir and Níncia Teixeira, which portray the importance of literature for the reconstruction of the feminine. In the work "A Via Crucis do Corpo" (1974), Clarice Lispector brings a series of short stories where she portrays the intimate of the woman, highlighting feelings of desire, guilt and pleasure as in the short story "Miss Algrave", where the character transforms throughout the narrative. Through this work we sought to understand the feminine beyond the biological, in all its processes to the present Day. This work is justified in the need to raise new questions and reflections about the role of women in society and the prejudices suffered when it comes to body and female sexuality.
