O reflexo da política internacional na construção da teoria construtivista segundo Alexander Wendt

Abstract

The International System of the end of World War II was marked by a new conflict, the Cold War. This conflict was not a direct armed clash between the capitalist superpower, the United States, and the Soviet superpower, the Soviet Union, but it was a conflict that took place within the framework of ideologies, the accumulation of military might, and the sphere of influence. Also, the present work addresses the emergence of International Relations as a department of study and theoretical development about the International System. Also, special attention is given to the end context of the Cold War and the post Cold War to the emergence of Constructivist Theory, which occurs in this period. In addition to an explanation of the general Constructivist Theory, a reading of the theory structured by Alexander Wendt is also made, highlighting the main conceptualizations that the author makes about the theoretical current. Finally, this work identifies the reflexes of the Cold War in International System for the elaboration of the Constructivist Theory accordingt o Alexander Wendt.
