Abstract

In this book, the reader and the reader will find together the lectures and presentations of research that took place in two events organized by Tuna. It is important to highlight the spirit that moved us in these organizations. Inspired by the feminist epistemological tradition, which proposes engaged knowledge, committed to problematizing our worldviews, our theoretical productions and our practices, the events combined scientific production and dialogue with political activism and creativity with which art and culture give us. Thus, the events that took place on the Uruguaiana campus of Unipampa, marked by the Health Sciences ethos, alternated lectures, oral research presentations, workshops, artistic presentations and academic-gastronomic conversation. In a perspective of solidarity sharing of food, we recover the strength that commensality has for the social amalgam. The act of sharing food is one of the oldest practices of humanity, enabling social interaction, creating and deepening bonds between people. The pleasure of sharing food is always accompanied by the satisfaction of sharing ideas, affections and affinities. Thus, the space-time of the conversation was established so that we could be together and together, sharing food for the body and the spirit, weaving our networks of hope for the realization of a more human, democratic and egalitarian society project. With this collection, organized in the midst of a serious political, health, economic and social crisis, which opened a total disrespect to science, health and human life, in the position of scientists and teachers, we can only resist, being faithful to the commitment of the university with the production and dissemination of knowledge, based on ethics and aesthetics. This is our “weapon” to combat obscurantism, discrimination and social inequalities. Imbued with the desire not to return to “normality”, because what we had was not “normal”, but the desire to build a democratic and inclusive education that trains citizens aware of the subject positions they occupy and committed to respect for equality, we hope that this collection, which brings together such diverse and thought-provoking texts, is an important tool to continue hoping for a “feminist praxis”.
