A (in) visibilidade do acolhimento ao público LGBTTT no âmbito da saúde: um debate necessário

Abstract

The present article had the general objective of presenting the results of the research that sought to investigate, through reports from the LGBTTT public how the provision of services in the scope of health has been occurring. The theme becomes relevant as it discusses the (in) visibility of care as well as its implication in the lives of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transvestites, transsexuals and transgender people who seek to access the service and who somehow end up suffering some type of violence - not always intentional - professional or institutional. Qualitative research was carried out via an intentional sample, using the snowball method as the subject's choice technique. Interviews were conducted with eleven members of the LGBTTT community. The data were analyzed via content analysis in the light of the dialectical method. From the data collected and reflections generated, it is evident that actions characterized as GLBTTTphobia occur daily. It is not uncommon for prejudice to abide in issues and disrespect for human dignity. There is a clear need for training, dialogues and respect for legislation that cuts health care in an expanded way.
