Investigação matemática na perspectiva da resolução de problemas

Abstract

The present work approaches the methodology of resolving the problems in the education of mathematics allied to the use of scenarios of investigation. It is presented a bibliographic review that permeates concepts about what is to solve problems, how it is classified and what is a good problem, in addition to present a brief discussion about the related problems. Still in the theoretical framework, it is discussed the role of the mathematics investigation in the solution of problems and how this process can and should be allied to the scenarios of investigation. For the accomplishment of the research, it was defined two institutions of education as a field of investigation, one of the state network with students from the Normal Course and another from the Mathematics Course – Graduation of the Universidade Federal do Pampa. In the implementation of activities, it was accomplished observations in class and after, applied an initial questionnaire with the aim to draw the profile of the classes. According to the knowledge of reality of the classes and planned activities, they were applied. The evaluation of the activity by the students occurred by applying a final questionnaire and, from these data it is analyzed the performance of the participants in the resolution of problems. Finally the qualitative data of the research are presented, appealing to the quantification of the questionnaires applied, as well as the good use of the participants in the resolution of problems.
