Contribuições do serviço social no processo de humanização da saúde

Abstract

The present Work of Conclusion of Course sought to investigate the contributions of Social Service to the process of humanization of health care at the Hospital Ivan Goulart, in the city of São Borja / RS in the year 2015. The overall objective of the study was to identify the contributions of the Social Service in view of the materialization of the social right to health. Regarding the specific objectives, they had the intention of analyzing the work developed by the social worker at the Hospital Ivan Goulart (HIG), as well as highlighting the particularities and similarities between the principles of the Ethical-Political Project of Social Service and Of the guidelines of the National Humanization Policy, and to unveil the challenges and concrete possibilities for the work of Social Work in the process of humanization in health. The research conducted in 2015 was of the qualitative type, the light of the dialecticalcritical method and its three categories: historicity, totality and contradiction. Data collection took place through the application of a form with interviews to users and professionals, as well as the use of a questionnaire. For data analysis, the content analysis method of author Lawrence Bardin (1977) was used. The process of data analysis made it possible to uncover the precariousness of the work in relation to the intervention processes of the Social Service, since instead of the professionals doing their work effectively, they are collaborating in the work of other professionals and even other sectors of the institution. It is concluded that the work performed is very dynamic, intense and committed, but it is not able to reach all of its objectives and purposes, requiring a greater workload assigned to the Social Service itself, leaving issues adverse to its work in the background. There are several challenges that are present for the materialization of the Humanization Policy in the hospital environment, among which are: lack of knowledge about the policy, lack of apprehension of its importance for daily health care, non-adherence to the interventions proposed by the Service To sensitize professionals about the HNP. Even from this scenario, HIG's Social Service has been daily seeking to build strategies so that HNP can be a concrete reality in the lives of users, by means of groups, lectures and approaches with users and professionals.
