Propensão à nomofobia: um estudo experimental com alunos de administração da UNIPAMPA usuários de smartphones

Abstract

Given the large number of inventions and the expansion of the mobile internet, significant changes resulting from this interactivity occur in the lives of individuals, who have their habits, behaviors, customs and relationships transformed by the presence of intelligent devices. Nomofobia, “No-mobile-phone-phobia”, is considered recent and arises as a consequence of the growing wave of technologies at the disposal of society. As a general objective, we aimed to analyze the propensity for nomophobia in students of the Administration Course of UNIPAMPA Santana do Livramento, as well as to identify the habits of use of students using smartphones; identify the propensity for nomophobia; compare the students' perception of the course after being without smartphone in theoretical and practical components and compare their behavioral reactions. For that, we carried out qualitative and quantitative research with the students of the institution. For the quantitative step, the experimental research was used, being the quantitative with the application of questionnaires was done using the Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q) model (YLDIRIM, 2014), and the qualitative one with the use of a field using a field diary to make observations. Regarding the propensity for Nomophobia, it has been shown that the level of students' perception is different from the results found, but in can be conclude that there is a propensity to Nomofobia, but at different levels and that only through the observations made in the field diary, possible to perceive the real difference between the theoretical and practical components.
