Reflexões acerca do atendimento à saúde mental voltado ao gênero feminino

Abstract

The present Course Conclusion Paper proposed to comprehend how mental health care for women is taking place at the psychosocial care center I Sentimentos. Emerging this discussion takes relevant property, geared towards the impact of the oppression relations on the female gender, socially built and reproduced in our culture, being characterized as a conductive field for implications regarding mental health. In this regard, the general objective established is to investigate the mental health care for women attended by CAPS I Sentimentos in the town of Itaqui, Rio Grande do Sul, in order to know if the illness processes are being treated under the whole optic of care. As methodological aspects, a qualitative research of exploratory nature was chosen, having as method of reality’s analysis the critic dialectic. In addition, documental research was used, concerning Institutional Analysis, Final Internship Report II and Final Paper of Curricular Component’s Research of Graduation Social Research II, both from the Social Services Course at Universidade Federal do Pampa (Federal University of the Pampa), furthermore the instrument of data collection was established as guiding script. Therefore, it was performed the respective analysis of content: the results show that most of the profiles from users who attend the institution have depression, do not occupy public spaces and had few opportunities to finish their studies, pointing that the interventions must surpass the limits of physical and pathological symptoms, because it involves thinking on the promotion of citizenship, autonomy and their concrete ways of materialization. It is possible to notice the recognition by the professionals about some of these constraints that interfere in the process of illness, resulting in the creation of spaces to stimulate self-esteem, conviviality, leisure and other exchanges. However, it is worth mentioning the challenge about the fragile way these presuppositions are treated in the service network’s group, necessary reflections to resize the discussions about the other policies and services, contributing to the confrontation of the phenomenon experienced by women. Such context becomes challenging for the promotion and viability of the right to public health care, inciting the mobilization of conducts that break the fragmented ways regarding attention to it.
