Eficiência de Azospirillum sp. no crescimento e produtividade do arroz – estudo de caso

Abstract

Bacteria of the genus Azospirillum can be a sustainable alternative for rice cultivation, due to the possible benefits they bring the plants, such as biological nitrogen fixation (BNF). The objective of this work was to study and analyze scientific papers published in periodicals and annals on the efficiency in the use of inoculants based on Azospirillum on the growth and productivity of rice. For this, the case study was used as research methodology. Bibliographical research on the subject was carried out, in scientific journals, annals of events, books and websites. In this way, the work was developed in two parts, in the first the research was about the characteristics, the species and the form of action of the bacterium of the genus Azospirillum. Among the poaceae, we tried to focus on the rice, because it is the plant object of this study. The second part of the study was characterized by the results of scientific studies, ordered in tables, referring to the efficiency in the use of inoculants based on Azospirillum sp. Growth and yield of irrigated rice. Besides the characterization and forms of action of the bacterium Azospirillum sp., Two tables were organized, the first with 5 works carried out in pots and the second, with 10 works developed in the field. In the works developed in pots the variable analyzed in 80% of the works was the growth of plants, whereas in the works developed to the field was the productivity. Analyzing the results found in the experiments with rice, it can be concluded that the use of the Azospirillum bacterium does not present a considerable influence on the growth and productivity of the rice.
