Abstract

The present Work of Course Completion in Social Work seeks to reflect and problematize the prejudices socially experienced by People with Disabilities, in order to sensitize the development of coping strategies and resistance, with a view to contributing to the strengthening of the professional category in occupational spaces. of Inclusive Education. It aims to add new knowledge with interdisciplinary and intersectoral work, presenting information in a reflective and propositive way about the processes of social inclusion and exclusion. The approach to this context of social inclusion came from the experiences of professional internship. The study was conducted in the light of critical theory, which resulted in a practical theoretical report built from a qualitative analysis of the investigation of documents prepared in Supervised Internship I and II in Social Work: Institutional Analysis, Field Diaries, Intervention Project and Report. Internship It aims to bring a cut about the experience of the Intervention Project in Social Work, carried out with the group of ―visually impaired and low vision‖. The conclusions point out that this area of insertion of Social Work is necessary to reaffirm the transformative role of this professional category in social reality, as well as the importance of an interdisciplinary and intersectoral intervention in the social inclusion scenario in order to enable new strategies to legitimize Rights. The importance of the work of the Social Work is emphasized due to its critical and investigative capacity to intervene in the social reality, the impotence of the professional competences through the methodological theoretical, political ethical and operative technical dimensions in order to actually make Social Inclusion feasible.
