Serviço social e identidade profissional: apreensões e significados na realidade de trabalho

Abstract

This thesis has as its object of study is the Professional Identity that is assigned to the the Social Workers, have the centre of their concern, analysis, and reflection on the social reality of the work of the municipality of São Borja/RS, on the basis of several approaches with the people with her and the staff. The central objective is to unravel what is your understanding of the users in relation to the work of the Social Workers, on the basis of its consultations in the different areas of the sociooccupational in the city of São Borja/RS, with the aim of building a professional identity that is assigned to a category in your daily routine. With the aim of answering the following problem: What is the understanding of the users of the different areas of the socio-occupational over the professional work of Social workers in the municipality of São Borja/RS? To this end, the work has developed a methodological basis for the method of historical materialism and dialectic, which has, as central categories of totality, mediation, contradiction, and history, as the studies based on this vector, the theoretical hold purpose-oriented transformation of the real, for this reason, the process of the revelation of the reality, in order to provide you the transformations in. They were eligible in three categories for the analysis of the present situation, which include: Social work, Professional Identity and the Processes, Work items, which makes the rescue of the theoretical, which has contributed to an increase in the study. This is a survey of the type exploratory and qualitative in nature, which allows you to dive into the social reality being studied by penetrating it to get to know them, breaking down the shapes move in and/or away from the object. For the purpose of collecting data that were used for the three techniques are combined in the research, namely the technique of the focus group, the technique used for the observation of the system and the technique of semistructured interviews. Developed based on the use of the technique of trilateration – seen through the different techniques of data collection and content analysis according to Bardin (1977) and Minayo (2002). They were made in five focus groups with a total membership of thirty-seven (37) users, and five interviews with five (5) of the Social workers; for institutions in the public, private and non-profit sector in the municipality of São Borja/RS. In conformity with a sampling of non-probability according to the criteria of the author, and it's kind of intentional. This study shows the significance of offering problematizações about the work of professional Social workers in the daily life of the different areas of the socio-biological, having in mind that it is the demand of the category and the depth of understanding about the practice of his profession in the institution. For the aspects defined in this study to denote a double-understanding in relation to the identity of the profession, one is bound to work on the demands of the immediate emergency response, and the other is linked to the work in view of the strengthening of the citizenship of the users via access rights. However, both of them moving away from an identity that is associated with the working class, the problematizações of the fundamental contradiction between capital and labour, and processes of human emancipation, all of which are in the direction of the social is established by the Social Work.
