A representação das personagens femininas na série “Coisa mais linda”

Abstract

The present study has as objective to analyze the representation of women in the perspective of the fictional narrative from the characters of the series “Coisa Mais Linda”[Most Beautiful Thing]. The idea is to understand how the female characters are shown from the perspective of filmic elements. Therefore, the study was made from the concepts related to gender representation, fictional narrative and character composition. The contribution of the research is through the methodology of moving image analysis with qualitative data, based on the conception of Rose (2002), with reference to the character study by Forster (2005) and relating to the interpretation of archetypes by Jung (1998).Basing on this process, the application of audiovisual resources for gender representation was observed. The interpretation of the collected material followed the teachings from the perspective of the following authors: Brait, Bulhões, Comparato, Hamburger, Hutcheon, Paechter, Pinsky, Rose and Scott. However, it is possible to notice in the study the different configurations between the characters through gender that break with paradigms seeking for equality. Thus, the study contributed to the question in gon the female representation in audiovisual and its debates related to social the matics provided by the communication bias.
