Educação física na educação infantil: percepção de pais / responsáveis

Abstract

Physical Education (PE) is a compulsory discipline in schools, but in Child Education, EF has been a slow process in the country, but in the State of Rio Grande do Sul it is not mandatory to have a specific teacher, but rather to be one-on-one teachers. Knowing the importance of EF teachers in early childhood education, it is worth highlighting the relevance of parents / guardians to have a look at this component. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the perception of parents / guardians in relation to PE in Early Childhood Education. This is a quantitative study of descriptive character and exploratory field research, carried out in 04 public schools in the city of Uruguaiana, RS, which were part of the Supervised Internship I of the Licentiate Course in Physical Education of the local Federal University. Therefore, the research raised aspects about the opinion of parents / guardians in having classes with specific teachers in the area, whether it is important to have EF classes in Early Childhood Education, and what benefits EF can provide for their children. Results Point out that parents / guardians understand that EF in Early Childhood Education is important and beneficial to their child's school life. Therefore, the research can show that the parents / guardians perceive the relevance of EF classes in Early Childhood Education and recognize the benefits that the component can guarantee in the life of their children.
